“Tanpreet and Hiruna are highly respected members of our team who consistently demonstrate the qualities that define outstanding security professionals. This recognition is thoroughly deserved, and we are incredibly proud of their achievement”
– Scott Carter, Chief Executive Officer
This year’s result is particularly significant as it marks the fourth time in the past ten years that a Matrix Security officer has received the NZSA Patrol Officer of the Year Award. The achievement reflects the strength of Matrix Security’s patrol operations and the calibre of the people who represent the organisation across New Zealand.
The NZSA awards ceremony was held in Wellington on Friday 11 September and attended by all three Matrix Security finalists. Alongside Tanpreet and Hiruna’s success, Helena Juanita Kwocksun attended the event as a finalist in the Specialised Security Services Professional of the Year category, highlighting the breadth of talent recognised across the Matrix Security team.
The New Zealand Security Association Awards are the premier awards programme for New Zealand’s security industry, bringing together security professionals from across the country to celebrate excellence, leadership and achievement.
Congratulations to Tanpreet Singh and Hiruna Samadith on this outstanding achievement, and congratulations to all finalists and award winners recognised at the 2026 NZSA Awards.
