From International Service to Matrix Security
Since joining Matrix Security in October 2025, Niraj Poudel has quickly become a valued member of the Guarding
Waikato team, bringing with him an impressive background and a strong commitment to professionalism.
With 21 years of service in the Armed Police Force of Nepal, including United Nations peacekeeping
deployments in Liberia and Sudan, Niraj brings extensive frontline experience to his role.
After relocating to New Zealand, he sought a security role that aligned with his skills, values, and long-term growth ambitions. Matrix Security stood out for its strong leadership, use of advanced security technologies, and clear focus on career development. On 1 February 2026, Niraj officially became a permanent member of the Matrix Security team — a milestone for which he is grateful and considers both rewarding and motivating.

Diversity of Experience
One of the biggest highlights of Niraj’s journey with Matrix Security has been the range of environments he works across, from Screen Sector productions, a major food processing plant and energy sector sites. Across each location, he has experienced consistent support from Operations Managers, supervisors, and teammates — reinforcing Matrix Security’s strong culture of teamwork and trust.
Growing Skills and Confidence
Niraj values the flexible and supportive work culture, where training, approachable leadership, and teamwork are part of daily operations. Since starting, he has developed skills in access control, visitor and contractor management, emergency response, temperature monitoring systems, and advanced technologies including alarm systems and video surveillance platforms.
