A toddler had a close call when he wandered away from his family at Judges Bay and ended up in the water. Fortunately, a vigilant Matrix Security Patrol Officer nearby spotted him and acted quickly to prevent a tragedy.

The family from out of town was enjoying a Saturday afternoon at the park when the 3-year-old boy wandered off. The Patrol Officer saw him as he started running towards the water and quickly realised there were no adults nearby.

The situation became urgent when the boy fell once he reached the water. The Officer ran to help and pulled him from the water. He was quickly reunited with his grateful family.

A trip to the doctors was needed as the child had been underwater for about a minute before he could be reached. However, thanks to the care and quick thinking shown by this Patrol Officer, a much more serious and tragic situation was avoided.
