Matrix Security have recently been chosen to provide guarding operations for a new state-of-the-art infant formula production plant in Pokeno, south of Auckland.

In establishing a secure environment for the state-of-the-art infant formula production plant in Pokeno, Matrix Security implements advanced access control solutions to ensure only authorised personnel can access sensitive areas. With the facility producing an impressive 52,000 tonnes of milk powder annually, safeguarding the integrity of operations is vital. The comprehensive security measures, including electronic gates and video surveillance, are designed to deter threats, such as those seen in recent incidents of armed robbery. This commitment to security not only protects valuable assets but also reinforces trust in Yashili New Zealand Dairy Company’s high-quality products.

Owned by Yashili New Zealand Dairy Company, the NZD$220 million plant took over 3 years to build and at full capacity will produce a whopping 52,000 tonnes of milk powder per annum.

“The production plant will operate under strict food safety quality controls and have robust security measures in place to protect the integrity of our products”, says Sun Yiping, the president of Yashili International Holdings.

Matrix Security plays a big role in helping Yashili meet their security measures. With guarding operations provided by Matrix Security, the site is also fully fenced with electronic gates, comprehensive video surveillance and access control to all key areas of production.

The plant was officially opened in a ceremony in late 2015, attended by Prime Minister John Key, Chinese dignitaries and representatives of local iwi and the community.
