Petrol stations have become a significant target for criminals wanting cash and/or cigarettes. A Manukau Service Station was recently robbed in an unusual manner.  The thief and stolen goods were quickly found with the help of his friends who found they were being used as unwilling accomplices.

Thankfully the attendant activated the panic alarm and within four minutes the Matrix Security Patrol Officer was on site with the robbery still in progress.

The Service Station was held up by the thief just after 9am on Sunday morning.  Unfortunately, he failed to include his friends in his illustrious plan.  Realising what was taking place the friends gave chase and brought back the stolen goods.  As the offender was on foot, he was quickly tracked and arrested.

This brazen criminal clearly did not expect to be caught out so quickly by Security, Police, and his now former friends.

In a recent incident at a Manukau service station, a brazen thief attempted to make off with cash and cigarettes, but his poorly conceived plan quickly unraveled.
