Be aware of door knockers
Police are warning residents to be wary of people that come door knocking.
There are still numerous reports of people claiming to be ‘looking for a friend’ or a ‘lost pet’, ‘conducting a survey’ or offering home maintenance services like lawn mowing and gardening. Many of these people are believed not to be genuine and are possibly scouting the property and home.
If any such person raises your suspicion always ask for some I.D or take down as much detail as you can about their appearance and mode of transport. Pass this information along to your family and neighbours and also let the police know. They may have received similar reports about the same person.
